How Delivery Works on Buselor

Buselor handles the marketplace and coordinates delivery through trusted logistics partners.

When you purchase an item on Buselor, you don't need to arrange delivery with the seller yourself.

The process is simple:

  1. You place your order and complete payment.
  2. The seller prepares and packages your order.
  3. Buselor requests delivery from an available logistics partner.
  4. A rider is assigned to the order.
  5. The rider picks up the package from the seller's location.
  6. The package is transported to your delivery address.
  7. You receive and inspect the package.
  8. If everything is correct, you provide your Delivery PIN.
  9. The delivery is confirmed and the settlement process proceeds.

Your seller doesn't need to leave their home or shop to take the package to a courier office. The delivery partner comes to the seller for pickup.

You don't need to manually choose a courier unless Buselor specifically provides that option for your order.

SELLER

How Sellers Ship Orders

Selling on Buselor is designed to make fulfilment simple.

Once you receive an order:

  1. Review the order details.
  2. Prepare the product.
  3. Package the product securely.
  4. Mark the order as ready for pickup.
  5. Wait for the assigned delivery partner.
  6. Hand the package to the rider.
  7. Keep the pickup/delivery information associated with the order.

You don't need to take the package to a courier office. The assigned delivery partner comes to your registered pickup location to collect it.

Packaging Your Order

Sellers are responsible for packaging products appropriately before handing them to the delivery partner.

Your package should be:

  • Properly sealed
  • Secure enough to survive normal transportation
  • Appropriate for the product inside
  • Protected against reasonable handling during transit

For fragile products, use appropriate protective materials such as:

  • Bubble wrap
  • Foam
  • Protective boxes
  • Appropriate padding
  • Tamper-evident packaging where suitable

Good packaging helps protect both the seller and buyer. Buselor or its logistics partners may have additional packaging requirements for certain product categories.

PROTECTION

What Does GIT Mean?

GIT means Goods-in-Transit insurance.

GIT insurance is designed to provide protection for eligible goods while they are being transported from the seller to the buyer.

This means that if an eligible package is lost or suffers qualifying damage while in transit, the applicable insurance process may provide compensation subject to the insurance policy's terms, conditions, limits, exclusions, and claims requirements.

Why does this matter?

Traditional online transactions can leave buyers and sellers worried about what happens after a package leaves the seller. With eligible Buselor deliveries, the shipment can have transit protection through GIT insurance. This adds another layer of protection to the transaction.

What Is Covered by Buselor's GIT Protection?

Products valued at up to ₦200,000 are covered by GIT insurance through the applicable delivery arrangement.

For products above ₦200,000, additional insurance may be available where applicable.

If additional insurance is required or available for your order, the applicable terms and cost will be presented before proceeding.

Always check the applicable coverage for your specific order.

What If My Package Is Lost During Delivery?

If your package does not arrive or is confirmed lost while in transit:

  1. Contact Buselor Support.
  2. Provide your Settlement ID or Order ID.
  3. Provide any requested delivery information.
  4. Buselor will work with the relevant logistics partner to investigate the shipment.
  5. Where the incident qualifies for GIT insurance, the applicable insurance claim process will be initiated.

Do not attempt to resolve a lost shipment directly with the rider. Contact Buselor so the transaction and delivery records can be reviewed together.

Inspect Before You Confirm

This is one of the most important parts of shopping on Buselor.

When your order arrives, inspect it before providing your Delivery PIN.

Check that:

  • It is the correct product.
  • The product matches the listing.
  • The quantity is correct.
  • The product isn't visibly damaged.
  • The major features or specifications match what you ordered.

warning

Something wrong?

Don't provide the PIN. Report the issue through Buselor's dispute process.

Your Delivery PIN acts as your confirmation that the delivery has been successfully completed.

What Is the Delivery PIN?

Your Delivery PIN is a confirmation code used to confirm successful delivery.

The PIN should only be provided after you have received and inspected your order and are satisfied that it matches your purchase.

Never give your PIN before receiving your package.

Do not send your Delivery PIN to:

  • The seller before delivery
  • Someone claiming to be Buselor Support
  • A person asking for it over the phone
  • Anyone before you have inspected your package

Only provide the PIN when the order has actually been delivered and you're ready to confirm it.
